The Mission Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc., was co-founded by Pastor and Mother Moultrie. It began as a Bible Class in July 1974 on the campus of Northeastern University. Mother DyAnne E. Moultrie was a Residence Director and an Education graduate student and Pastor Moultrie was a MBA graduate student at Boston University. From 1974 to 1975 the congregation, comprised mostly of college students worshiped at the Greater Boston YMCA chapel located across the street from the University. In October 1975, the church once again relocated to 396px-Somerville_MA_First_Unitarian_Churcha building at 770 Huntington Avenue in Boston. God blessed us to overflowing and in a year’s time we needed to relocate once more.

Today, the Mission Church is home to a vibrant, growing congregation of loyal, faithful members, located at 130 Highland Avenue in Somerville, Massachusetts. Mission Church was incorporated in 1974 and chartered in 1975 as a member of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith Organization, whose headquarters is in New York, NY.
