My Sister’s Keeper

MY SISTER’s KEEPER PRAYER

Submitted by the Ministers and Deacons Wives Guild

Almighty God! Our Father, Lord Jesus Christ! Our only Savior! Our Prince of Peace! I give you the highest praise and all the GLORY! Halleluiah! Halleluiah! Halleluiah! Glory to your Holy name!

O Lord Jesus Christ, “Hear my prayer; listen to my plea, O God, my King for unto you only will I direct my prayer. Each night/morning I will look up to you and lay my requests before you, praying earnestly” Psalm 5:1-3

Father, Lord Jesus Christ, I give you all the GLORY!!! I thank you for allowing me to come to your throne of grace in prayer on behalf of my Sisters. Let your anointing over flow when we gather together before you in praise and prayers, thanking you for all you have done for each of us individually and collectively.

Lord, give each of us the desire to praise you as we grow in you through the teaching of Your Word, fellowship of the Saints, exercise of Spiritual Gifts, and grow in love for one another. As with the human body, each part is fully dependent upon the other part to function at its best. Lord! As Sisters in Christ, we show our accountability to God by being accountable to one another.

Father, Lord Jesus help us to:

  • Watch after our Sisters in the flock like a Shepherd who keeps His sheep.
  • Pray for our Sisters by name asking God to protect them from the wicked one and from the snare of sin.
  • Faithfully reach out to those who are withdrawn from the flock to encourage them in the Lord.
  • Trust God for courage to caution a Sister in love.
  • Willingly allow a Sister to be my keeper

Lord, help us take seriously the fact that we are indeed our sister’s keeper. In Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, God’s word let us know that, “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor, for if they fall the one will lift his fellow.” Galatians 6:2 wrote, “We should bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

Father, Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you for this prayer focus, “I AM MY SISTER’s KEEPER!” Proverbs 3:15 says, “She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.” Thank you for the desire to honor, support, care and prayer for each other…. Glory Halleluiah!!!  In the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen.
