GIVE GOD YOUR BEST
“HE GAVE HIS”
As Christians we are boundless through the love of Christ The Lord has given us the greatest opportunity and mission to love those around us as he has loved us.
The Church is the bride of Christ and therefore as believers in Jesus Christ we wait with great anticipation for the day when we will be united with our Bridegroom. Until then, we remain faithful to him and say with all the redeemed of the Lord, “Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20).
John wrote in Revelation 21: 1-2, I saw ‘a new heaven and a new earth’ for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. Our bride groom has prepared our home.
Jesus invites us into a relationship with him. He extends his mercy and his love to us. As we focus this year on giving God our best we must take time to examine where we are, we must take inventory on our relationship with him, how is our relationship with those around us and the people in our community. How are we serving in God’s house, are we giving as we ought, are we praying as we ought, are we fasting as often as we could. Finally, are we reading and studying the Bible daily.
Let’s us seek to give God our best every day. Let us pray earnestly for our Pastor his family and for his ministry. Pray for our church leadership. Husband and wives seek out to please each other. Children obedience is better than sacrifice.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandment this is the whole duty of man. (Ecclesiastes 12:13).
Let us give God our best!!
